Hey ! my boyfriend of 2 years went away on a trip for a week and when he got back we immediately started fighting so he said he was sick of arguing and ended it then (this was about 5 days ago) I’ve been doing the “no contact” rule, and already he “ran” into me today! I hope this really works!

Hello!
My boyfriend of just under 3 years and I broke up about a month ago as he cheated on me for a few days whilst on holidays. We’re only young (19 years old), and whilst I completely condemn that kind of behaviour, I still love my ex very much and want him back. I did the no contact rule and sure enough he started emailing me, IM-ing me, texting me, and even asked to catch up. The problem is, now he’s met another girl here back home who he seems to be seeing quite a bit. It’s only been a week, but he’s barely spoken to me at all and I want to get back in the power seat and get him back! He’s admitted to friends he misses me but I’m afraid he’s replacing the feelings for me with another girl. Do the book’s techniques include discouraging and preventing unwanted behaviour such as cheating?? AND can I somehow get rid of the new girl?

Hey Siouxsie,

Both courses will still help in your situation. Please understand the specifics of your break up do not matter as the underlying causes are 99% of the time the same. Nearly all break ups are the same beyond the details that don’t matter.

Hi Jenna,
My guy and I were still in early stages of our relationship. He’s long distance and over the 4 months that we’ve been together, we’ve been long distance for the majority of it.

Things were going fabulously though – until suddenly we both had a lot of drama hitting both of our lives. With so much on both of our plates – things seemed to slow down. He didn’t have time and energy for me – I needed support he didn’t have energy to give.

Within the span of just a week, we went from things being still very positive – to him completely retreating – just disappeared. Then when I finally did hear from him, he said that being together wouldn’t work anymore – he needed to focus on his own issues.

We’re both old fashioned, so we were waiting until we were more constantly presenting each other’s lives before sleeping together.

Will either of the the recommended programs you reviewed (Huston and Parsons) work for someone in my situation? We were still pretty new, we were long distance, and we weren’t sleeping together… Does that make my situation very different from what the ebooks might be equppied for addressing?

Thanks so much for your blog – it’d a huge comfort to find a place where the broken-hearted can go for some guidance.

I can see what you’re saying Ritalu. Men and women differ greatly so it helps to get guidance specific to your gender.

My advice? Get both to see which one you think is best. If you feel one isn’t good, just get a refund. It’s quite common for women to get BOTH of those courses I recommend.

Ive made every classic mistake outlined so far and even tried to reconcile on my own with disastrous results. I became so frustrated I broke it off even though I love her deeply and I can tell be her occasional emails she still loves me. I hope to turn that around using these materials. You’re never to old to learn something new from someone else. Will let you know.
